For those who love vintage romantic ~ and I so do… these charming decorations will warm your heart.  Another idea for these ornaments is to attach one to a gift ~ ohhh so special!  I just love the feathers around this tree too, but my kitties would go wild with it!  Enjoy!

I love these ideas for small spaces, front porches or for putting up what I call a “light tree”  in your kids bedrooms.  Get creative.  I think I’m going to do one with branches,  our cozy cottage is near several acres of trees with lots of fallen branches… I’ll get started collecting my branches the day after Thanksgiving!   Cheers to the holidays!

I was first introduced to decoupage when I was about 13, I went to my girlfriends house and her mom had all kinds of decoupage stuff spilling off of the dining room table… I was hooked.  Ever since, I’ve loved decoupage and paper crafting.  This project comes with a *free* printables sheet with all of the little woodland creatures on these ornaments by Jade.  Have a blast and send us your photos of your finished projects!  Happy Holidays y’all!

Have you ever tried making your own bows?  It’s become one of those things that I really love to do, putting a special touch on a special gift.  I don’t make handmade bows for every present, but definitely for a few.  I’ve never made tissue paper bows, but these are super simple and you could whip out a bunch in no time at all… Put on your favorite holiday movie and in no time you’ll have more than enough, if not… put in another movie *winks*!

This is a fun and oh so easy to do Thanksgiving Banner ~ celebrating the guests at the original Thanksgiving day feast.  This comes to us from Daune Pitman at Cottage in the Oaks.  What I love about this is that you can have your kids help you and really have a good discussion about Thanksgiving, who participated and what the significance was and still is.   For me Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate the bounty of abundance Mother Earth has given us for the year, and all of the blessings we have had bestowed upon our family and community.  Sometimes remembering that blessings come in the form of disguise… and to be thankful for all that we learn along the way.  ~ Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours.
